Weather - forecast for the week ahead

by isleofman.com 21st February 2011

THE weather isn’t up to much at the start of this week but the Isle of Man is in for some decent sunshine later in the week, according to the 5-day forecast from the Isle of Man Met Office.

Heavy rain which has resulted in many patches of flooding and very high waters in our rivers is set to continue today (Monday) and tomorrow, but by Thursday the forecast suggests a sunny day, although it will be accompanied by some strong winds.

So, Thursday could be a very good day for photographers, particularly somewhere like Niarbyl where a stormy sea looks certain, and it could be spectacular during the sunny periods.

As for gardeners, don't forget your wellies! And as for cutting the lawn then maybe leave it for a week!

However, don’t be misled - the weekend looks like being another wettish one, but not as bad as we had this last weekend, and possibly getting better by Sunday.

Best day: definitely Thursday. Worst day: probably Tuesday
