More roadworks to come in Douglas

by isleofman.com 21st February 2011

MOTORISTS will face another month of roadworks when a section of the Douglas Outer Link is closed for reconstruction and resurfacing works.

The Department of Infrastructure will start work on Ballacottier Road, between Vicarage Road and the roundabout in the Isle of Man Business Park adjacent to Island House, from Monday, February 28.

The works will consist of reconstruction to sections of the carriageway where foundation failure has occurred and resurfacing work.

A road closure from Stevenson's Way to the roundabout at Island House will be in place to through traffic while the works are carried out.

Access will be maintained to the businesses in the immediate area and to residential areas at all times.

The works are expected to be completed by March 25.

The Department of Infrastructure has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the road closure and said it hopes the public will see major improvements to the area once the works are complete.
