QUARTERBRIDGE roundabout will be closed this weekend.
The Department of Infrastructure has made the decision to go ahead with the full closure of the junction after consultation with the Met Office earlier today.
Quarterbridge junction will be closed to through traffic from 6am tomorrow (Saturday) until midnight on Sunday.
Diversion and warning signs have already been erected on the main roads and junctions leading to Quarterbridge to advise motorists to take an alternative route.
The traffic lights at Pulrose Bridge and Groves Road will be altered to assist traffic flows and Saddle Road will become a clearway from its junction with New Castletown Road to Vicarage Road. This means that there will be no parking allowed in this area.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closures.
The department has apologised for any inconvenience caused during this weekend road closure.
