It's being reported Manx2 is at loggerheads with a law firm representing one of the survivors of last week's plane crash at Cork Airport.
BBC Northern Ireland says Mark Dickens' lawyers, Stewarts Law, have written to the airline, seeking details of insurance provison and an advance payment of over ?15,000.
In a statement, Manx2 chairman Noel Hayes says under the terms of the contract, the airline had chartered the aircraft involved in the Cork crash from Flightline BCN.
He says that under the European Air Operators Certificate, such carriers maintain full insurance provision at, or above, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) minimum levels.
Mr Hayes says: 'This kind of arrangement is common in the aviation industry and ensures the necessary cover for passengers and their families in the event of such awful circumstances.'
Head of the aviation department at Stewarts Law, James Healy-Pratt, is rejecting the response, saying he expects Manx2 to step up, take responsibility and sort it out for all the families.
