How Manx aid is changing lives

by isleofman.com 17th February 2011

A group from the Isle of Man is heading to West Africa this week to see how Manx aid is helping to change lives.

Seven people from Christian Aid and CAFOD - the Catholic Overseas Aid Agency - are travelling to Sierra Leone today (Thursday).

Area officer for Christian Aid in the Isle of Man, Phil Craine, says they're planning to look, learn and listen to the work which is being carried out in the area.

They hope to be able to come back to the Island with evidence of how aid from the Isle of Man is changing lives.

Mr Craine says it's important the money is used for sustainable development.
