Island Hospice receives donations from school pupils

by isleofman.com 19th February 2011

BALLAUGH School has raised more than £100 for Hospice in the Isle of Man after totalling up money raised from a successful Christmas concert.

Chief Executive of Hospice Margaret Simpson and PR and marketing manager Mary Doyle visited the school to thank the pupils for raising the money and explained to them the work that Hospice did.

The charity also received a donation from the Douglas Rookies who, for the second year in a row, raised £200 for the children's hospice Rebecca House.

The Rookies raised the money by organising a fun event and sold handmade Christmas cards.
