New tax consultant at Abacus

DOUGLAS-based fiduciary services provider Abacus Trust Company Limited has made a new appointment to their tax department.

Catherine Robinson has been appointed as tax consultant as part of the company's drive to enhance added value services to their clients.

 

Catherine's appointment will play a significant part in Abacus' strategy to further develop these services, in particular surrounding tax compliance and consultancy.

 

Director Stewart Fleming said: "We are pleased to welcome Catherine as the newest member of our tax team.

 

"Catherine will be involved in the ongoing tax compliance and advisory work for Abacus' clients and I am sure that her knowledge and experience will be valuable to both Abacus and its clients alike.

 

"Catherine's recent appointment complements our business plan and I am in no doubt that she will prove invaluable in supporting the tax department in their upcoming business development activities."
 
Catherine who is ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualified, spent 10 years working in various roles for SMP Accounting and Tax Limited and has vast experience in dealing with personal and corporate tax returns as well as complex tax structures for several jurisdictions.

 

Catherine said: "I am looking forward to being part of such a successful and dynamic company and participating in the development of their tax services."
