by isleofman.com 13th February 2011

ONE of two men arrested following the death of a 44-year-old man in Douglas yesterday (Saturday) has been released without charge.

Another man remains in police custody.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and a post mortem by a Home Office pathologist is likely to be carried out today (Sunday).

Yesterday Police closed Hillside Avenue and Wesley Terrace in Douglas but these have now been re-opened to the public.

Police said they would like to thank residents in those areas for their help and understanding "during a very difficult time".

A further update is expected later today.

The man who was found dead has not been named by Police.
