Police investigate "suspicious death"

POLICE are treating the death of a 44-year-old man in Douglas this morning (Saturday) as "suspicious".

 

Two men have been arrested and are currently being detained at Police Headquarters, Douglas, where they will be interviewed.

 

There are road closures in place in Hillside Avenue and Wesley Terrace, Douglas, in connection with the incident.

 

The Coroner has been informed and a post-mortem by a Home Office pathologist is likely to take place tomorrow.

Anyone with information in relation to a "disturbance" in Wesley Terrace at approximately 6am this morning is asked to contact any police officer, Police Headquarters on 631212 or the confidential CrimeStoppers line on 0800 555 111.

 

The name of the man has not been released.
