MANX2.COM chairman Noel Hayes visited Cork yesterday (Friday) where he paid further tribute to the emergency services who responded to Thursday's plane crash.
Speaking at Cork Airport he also commended the hard work of airport staff in dealing with the tragedy.
Six people were killed when the Manx2.com flight, which was operated by Flightline BCN, crashed while attempting a third landing in fog shortly before 10am.
Six people were also taken to hospital - two of them were released yesterday lunchtime.
Mr Hayes visited Cork University Hospital to also offer his thanks to the staff there for their "extreme professionalism" in dealing with the tragedy.
He attended the hospital with Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness who revealed on Thursday that he had contemplated taking that flight.
Mr Hayes also signed the book of condolences which has been opened at Cork County Hall.
In response to media questions Mr Hayes said that it was his understanding from Flightline BCN that Pilot Captain Jordi Lopez had been flying with Flightline BCN for 10 months and had 1,800 hours of experience on the type of aircraft involved, while co-pilot Andrew Cantle had been flying with Flightline BCN for three weeks and had 720 hours on the type of aircraft involved.
Both were killed.
A spokesman said Manx2.com is continuing to work with all relevant authorities and yesterday evening Mr Hayes met the lead investigator of the Air Accident Investigation Bureau.
