A RELATIVE of the Irish president and Irish, British and Spanish passport holders were on the Manx2.com flight which crashed this morning (Thursday).
The BBC is reporting Brendan McAleese, a cousin of Irish President Mary McAleese's husband, was killed along with five other people, while six were injured.
Another victim was named as Pat Cullinan, originally from County Tyrone, the BBC said, while another was Captain Michael Evans, deputy harbour commissioner in Belfast.
Irish, British and Spanish passport-holders were on board the aircraft.
The six injured are being treated at Cork University Hospital. Four are said to be in a serious condition.
The other two are described as being "comfortable".
The plane, operated by Spanish-based Flightline BCN, crashed shortly before 10am this morning as it tried to land at Cork Airport. The flight was travelling from Belfast Airport and was carrying 10 passengers and two crew.
