Minister on 'strain of constant scrutiny'

The Manx government and business sector will find out next week whether the Isle of Man's Zero-ten tax system is to come under further close scrutiny.

Next Tuesday, European Union finance ministers will receive a report suggesting a personal tax measure within Zero-ten creates a potentially 'harmful' regime under the Code of Conduct.

If ministers accept that finding, some tough questions will be asked about Zero-ten - in essence, does it offer non-Manx businesses a more favourable regime than those based here?

Economic Development Minister Allan Bell says being under constant international scrutiny is very demanding:
