Hearing aid services cancelled

by isleofman.com 9th February 2011

DROP-IN hearing aid clinics in the north and south of the Island have been cancelled due to staff shortages.

The clinics which take place in Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital on a Monday and Thie Rosien in Port Erin on a Tuesday are cancelled until further notice.

The Department of Health has said the member of staff who operates these clinics is absent from work because of "unforeseen personal circumstances".

Hearing aid clinics at Noble's Hospital are not affected. Any patients requiring hearing aid repairs may attend these which run on a Monday between 9am and 12pm, on a Wednesday between 1.30pm and 4.30pm and on a Friday between 9am and 12pm.

The Department has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause to patients.

Further information is available from the Audiology Department on 01624 650407.
