Fundraiser for 'Heartstrong' charity this week

Nearly six years after Isle of Man footballer Craig Lunt died of an undetected heart problem, the charity set up in his memory is stepping up its attempts to avoid a similar tragedy.

Craig's Heartstrong Foundation funds heart screenings for young sportsmen and women, between the ages of 14 and 35.

A number of locals have already been referred to a cardiologist for more detailed scans, following initial screenings.

With more screenings planned, a band night at Paramount City on Friday (February 11) will help towards the costs.
