Cameras will target drug users

Reports of substance abuse in a newly refurbished children's play area in Willaston have prompted Douglas Borough Council to include a CCTV security system as part of the scheme.

Extra drainage work is being carried out at the site, and state of the art cameras will now be installed as well.

Leisure Services chairman Stephen Pitts says drug and alcohol abuse is unacceptable in such a place:
