Parking solution mooted

A possible solution is being put forward to the problem of large commercial vehicles and motor-homes being kept in residential parts of Douglas.

The Council is drawing up its submission to a government consultation and is thinking about making the large tarmaced area behind the TT grandstand available for parking.

Council leader David Christian says local authorities all over the Island could make similar offers and charge for the service.

He says the grandstand car park fits the bill because it has limited use:
