Warrington win at Ramsey

by isleofman.com 5th February 2011

Ramsey lost again at the Mooragh Park as promotion chasing Warrington ground out a 15-9 win in difficult wet conditions.

A Fintan Cummins penalty put Ramsey ahead early on but Warrington’s Matt Rockey levelled and then created a try for right wing Kev Jones to put the visitors ahead.

A second Cummins penalty kept Ramsey in touch but a try from flanker Sam Coombes extended Warrington’s lead.

A late penalty from Cummins put Ramsey within striking distance but the Warrington defence held firm.
