A BUTCHERS in Castletown is celebrating the Six Nations rugby tournament by producing a range of themed sausages.

Radcliffe Butchers in Castletown has six new sausages on sale to represent the six nations playing in the competition.

The new sausages are:

England: Slightly spicy beef sausage with added mustard seeds

Ireland: Succulent pork sausage with added chives

Scotland: A mix of pork and Scottish haggis with blended herbs

Wales: A fiery pork sausage with added leeks for flavour and chilli for heat

France: Pork sausage with added garlic aroma and red wine and mixed herbs

Italy: A well rounded sausage with a slightly spicy beef base flavour with added onion and red wine

Zoe Thompson from Radcliffes said: "We like to run promotions now and again to bring variety to our displays.

"We ran a similar campaign for the football world cup so we thought we would try out Six Nation sausages which we will have available during the course of the competition.

"The sausages are sold per lb which is around four large sausages. They are also sold on our website in packs of four. The sausages are made with Manx meat and other fresh ingredients which are bought locally."

The sausages will be in store from Friday, February 4, to Saturday, March 19.
