Birth date passes without organised celebration

by isleofman.com 4th February 2011

Plans are still being drawn up for a suitable event to commemorate the life of Sir Norman Wisdom.

The world famous comic actor died at a nursing home in Ballasalla four months ago and, at the time, it was suggested a memorial service could be held in St Paul's Cathedral on his birth date.

Sir Norman would have been 96 today (Friday) and no such event has taken place.

However, it's still hoped a celebration can be held some time in the future, although a date and location haven't yet been arranged.
