Disappointment as seat remains empty

Lezayre Parish Commissioners are hoping it will be a case of third time lucky as they attempt to fill a vacant seat on the board.

No one had come forward when nominations closed yesterday (Wednesday), and it was the second time the post had failed to attract any interest.

The local authority plans to re-advertise in the near future.

Chairman Vivien Quane says it's disappointing and has contributed to a board meeting this evening being postponed:
