by isleofman.com 2nd February 2011

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in a hit and run incident.

The man suffered a serious injury to his left forearm when a dark coloured car struck him as he was walking down the side of his van.

The incident happened at 11.15am yesterday on Ballaquayle Road, outside Clifton Terrace, in Douglas.

The car, which was travelling up the road from Broadway, hit the man's arm which in turn caused the wing mirror to break off.

Two other vehicles, believed to be cars, were following the car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Timothy Jones on 01624 631212.
