SOME of the most thrilling TT races of all time will be depicted on a series of stamps issued by Isle of Man Post Office.
And fans have chosen the 1992 Senior TT as the greatest race of all time.
The race was won by Steve Hislop on the Abus Rotary Norton with rival Carl Fogarty finishing second on the Loctite Yamaha.
It was one of the most memorable showdowns in motorcycle racing history - first Hizzy broke his own lap record then Fogarty raised it to 123.61mph.
Hislop took the race by 4.4 seconds and set a new race record of 121.38mph in Norton's first TT win since 1973 and its first Senior victory since 1961.
More than 2,000 fans took part in the poll by voting at the NEC Bike Show in November, posting their votes or submitting them online via Duke Marketing and the Isle of Man Post Office.
And nearly half of them chose the 1992 Senior.
The 2000 Formula One that saw Joey Dunlop triumph over David Jefferies finished second in the poll while last year's thrilling Superstock battle between Ryan Farquhar and Ian Hutchinson - which Hutchinson eventually won by 1.32 seconds on his way to his historic five victories in a week - was third in the survey.
A shortlist of 10 legendary races had been drawn up by leading figures in the road racing world including John McGuinness, Ian Hutchinson, Michael Dunlop and Dave Molyneux as well as ex-riders and TT commentators Charlie Williams and Steve Parrish and Motor Cycle News journalist Gary Pinchin.
The full shortlist has been turned into a set of 10 stamps to celebrate the centenary celebrations of the Mountain Course and they will be available from April.
