MHK says budget system is still flawed

Rushen MHK Juan Watterson has reiterated his belief that members of Tynwald should be given more notice of proposals in the Manx budget.

He was speaking at a meeting of the Positive Action Group last night (Monday), at which he delivered a 'Bluffer's Guide to the Budget', and answered questions from the floor.

Last year Mr Watterson brought forward plans to change the system, but received insufficient backing for them to be passed.

He told last night's meeting he still believed the system was flawed, and members didn't have enough time to study the budget in detail:
