Cash bars at this year's Manx Telecom Bay Festival

by isleofman.com 1st February 2011

FESTIVAL goers at this year's Manx Telecom Bay Festival should face a shorter waiting time for a drink after organisers took the decision to scrap the token bar system used last year.

After complaints that last year's system created long queues organisers have brought in a UK company to manage and run cash bars instead.

Creativebars will bring over a dedicated trained team to set up and manage a number of bars for the three day festival in June.

Peter Dickson, Manx Telecom Bay Festival spokesperson, said: "Creativebars were the obvious choice for quality and efficiency of service with all bars having multi-head fillers allowing for a far speedier service to greatly improve the customer experience.

"The Manx Telecom Bay Festival is making big steps this year to address comments made by festival goers in previous years to ensure 2011 is the biggest and best festival ever staged in the Island.

"Having Creativebars set up and run the bars at the festival will ensure minimal queuing time and more time enjoying the great acts on stage."

Creativebars has been selected as a supplier for the 2012 Olympic Games in London and served 550,000 pints of lager and cider during the 2010 festival season.

The Manx Telecom Bay Festival runs from Friday, June 17, to Sunday, June 19.
