Laxey good, but could be better!

A consultant looking into regeneration in Laxey believes more could be made of the village.

Caroline Bull says it's a popular and attractive place, but the area around the Manx Electric Railway station is looking a little tired and could be improved.

She is also looking at several other areas (first part of audio file):

Local MHK Steve Rodan says it may appear to be taking a long time for cash from the government fund be spent on such schemes, but the money has to be properly targeted (secnd part of audio file):

There is still over ?8 million in the regeneration fund, for schemes in towns and villages around the Island.
