TWO fire appliances were called out after a car overturned on the Mountain Road this afternoon (Sunday).

It happened at 2.20pm and the sole occupant of the car had managed to escape from the vehicle before the Fire and Rescue Service arrived. They received first aid from paramedics before being taken to Noble's Hospital, Braddan.
