Range of issues to be discussed at Liberal Vannin Party conference

THE Liberal Vannin Party will hold its annual general meeting and conference at the South Douglas Old Friends' Club in Finch Road, Douglas, tomorrow (Sunday).

 

Coffee will be available from 10am with the conference starting at 10.30am.

 

The public is welcome to attend the event but only full party members will be able to vote on items on the agenda.

 

Issues to be discussed and voted on include the political and parliamentary system, Ramsey Pier and the regeneration of the north, credit unions, welfare rights, European free trade area, access to justice, environmental issues, off licences, planning, crime, taxation, property and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

 

The party has already announced some of its candidates who will stand in the general election in September.
