Defendant in court in attempted murder case

A 38-year-old man charged with attempted murder has appeared before the deputy high bailiff.

Warren Jason Cain, of Victoria Road in Douglas, also faces three counts of possessing drugs.

A bail application by his advocate was granted by Alastair Montgomerie.

Mr Cain was bailed in the sum of ?1,000 with a surety of ?2,500.

He must observe an 8.30pm to 6.30am curfew, be electronically tagged, and report to police headquarters once a week. In addition he must not enter on-licensed premises, purchase alcohol, or consume it in public places.

Mr Cain, who is barred from approaching prosecution witnesses, will appear again on March 1.
