Organisers of the Big Wheel Blues Festival are promising Laxey they will be back with the event next year.
This year's festival, held over the May Day bank holiday weekend, has had to move to Douglas, because the flagship venue in the village is being renovated.
Dave McLean says Laxey remains the festival's spiritual home, but this year the music and fun will be at the Villa Marina complex.
