Manx State of the Nation event opens at Mount Murray

CHIEF Minister Tony Brown MHK gave his state of the nation speech at an event at the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club, Santon, this morning (Wednesday).

 

It took place at the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals (AICP) Manx State of the Nation which is being held at the hotel throughout the day.

 

There are a number of speakers at the event including chief executive of the Financial Services Commission John Aspden, Treasury Minister Anne Craine MHK, Economic Development Minister Allan Bell MHK, Baroness Tracy Harvey-Bussell  - who will deliver a presentation on the potential impact for offshore centres of the Bribery Act 2010 - and motivational speaker Peter Probert.

 

The AICP said that throughout the year it is looking to build on the strong compliance and risk culture that exists in the Island.
