Department monitoring staffing levels

The education minister says his department has managed to save some full-time teaching posts by cutting supply ones.

Eddie Teare was speaking after answering a question on the matter in the House of Keys yesterday (Tuesday).

During the sitting he revealed there had been a four per cent drop in the number of teachers at the Island's schools, from 881 to 846.

However, he is admitting the changes may have to be reviewed:
