Date for general election announced

THE general election in the Isle of Man will take place on Thursday, September 29.

 

The date has just been announced.

 

Lieutenant Governor Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks has, following consultation, approved the timetable for the election.

 

Nomination day is on Tuesday, August 30. This is the day when the nominations for all House of Keys candidates are formally handed in.

 

A number of candidates have already announced their intention to stand at the election.
