RAMSEY Group Practice in Bowring Road remains open following the power cut in the town this morning (Tuesday).

The Department of Health said patients should attend appointments as planned.

Earlier the department announced services at Ramsey Cottage Hospital are going ahead as planned.

Power has now been restored to the town but the department said phone systems continue to be affected both at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital and at Ramsey Group Practice.

A spokesman said: "Patients are reminded to dial 999 in the event of chest pain or any life threatening condition.

"Laxey Health Centre, New Road, Laxey is unaffected and open as usual."
