Minister facing questions on education jobs

by isleofman.com 25th January 2011

The House of Keys is sitting today (Tuesday) for the first time in 2011.

A relatively short question paper includes eight items for oral answer, a number of which are from Onchan MHK Peter Karran.

The issues he is raising include a speed limit imposed on Richmond Hill, powers of local authorities and education provision.

On the latter subject, he is seeking assurances from the Education Minister Eddie Teare that teaching jobs aren't being lost at the expense of civil servant posts in his department (play audio file):

There is live coverage of question time from the House of Keys on Manx Radio's AM1368 service, from 10am.

The Legislative Council sits half an hour later.
