Pharmacist canvasses views on MEDS

by isleofman.com 21st January 2011

A pharmacist in Ramsey is unhappy with aspects of the Manx Emergency Doctor Service, or MEDS, and wants to know if members of the public have similar concerns.

Former member of Tynwald Leonard Singer says it's often difficult to speak to a doctor at the out of hours service, and wonders whether the public would like to see it revert to a queuing system for calls (play audio file):

Mr Singer is hoping people will ring him on 499196 to tell him about their experiences.

His email address is leonard.singer@manx.net and he can be contacted via the postal service at Apartment three, Kensington on Queen’s Promenade, Ramsey.

The Department of Health is organising its own consultation on the issue.
