THE chairman of Manx2.com said the year is off to a "fantastic start" after the company sold more tickets on Monday than ever before.
Monday, January 17, was the single busiest day in Manx2.com's history and saw 700 tickets sold. This figure is more than double the number of tickets sold normally.
Chairman Noel Hayes said: "Despite numerous challenges we did expand in 2010 and having got the year off to a fantastic start 2011 looks set to be above and beyond previous achievements.
"We're very grateful to our regular customers for their continuing support and we will be busy at numerous travel shows and key events throughout the year promoting the Island in conjunction with the Department of Economic Development to help generate new business and leisure visitors for the Island."
