Newcomers need separate race, says clerk

The clerk of the course for the Manx Grand Prix says plans for an extra race at this year's meeting are born out of necessity.

New regulations brought in by organisers the ACU for 2011 state different classes can't be run at the same time.

Phil Taubman says it means the newcomers race can no longer be held simultaneously with another race.

He also admits having them running alongside the post-classic bikes last year did cause problems:
