A Peel man charged with causing death by dangerous driving has appeared before Deemster Doyle at a Court of General Gaol.

Twenty-two-year-old Kieran Bernard Baxter, of Christian Street, admitted causing the death of David Charles Lees, near the Creg-ny-Baa public house, on April 18 last year.

Defence advocate Dawn Jones said the facts of the case had not yet been finalised with the prosecution.

Baxter was bailed until his next court appearance, on January 31.
