Journalist backs retirement changes

It's not yet clear whether the Isle of Man will follow the United Kingdom's plan to scrap the compulsory retirement ages for men and women.

Currently set at 65 for men and five years younger for women, the age limits force workers to retire. 

The restrictions will be scrapped from April, but the Manx government hasn't yet said whether it will adopt the new system.

Journalist Terry Cringle, who is still working at 80, is all in favour of the moves:
