A tendering exercise to build an onshore wind farm in the Isle of Man has been put on hold, while other forms of renewable power are examined.
The decision to halt the process for twelve months was confirmed in Tynwald today (Tuesday), by Environment Minister John Shimmin.
Tenders had been sought from a short list of companies interested in building and operating a wind farm.
But Mr Shimmin, who chairs a Council of Ministers committee on energy and climate change, says it's vital they pause and look at all the options:
