Publicans face 'modest' licence increases

The head of a brewery in the Isle of Man says increasing fees for licences are to be expected and shouldn't lead to higher beer prices.

Tynwald is due to discuss a hike in costs for both alcohol and music licences in Island pubs when it sits tomorrow (Tuesday).

Martin Brunnschweiler of Bushy's Brewery says the increases are modest and won't affect his business.

He says at a time when the government is looking carefully at its finances, some sort of price rise is almost inevitable:
