Police ask public for help updating website

by isleofman.com 17th January 2011

THE Manx public has been asked to come up with new ideas for content on the Police website.

Inspector Derek Flint of the Organisational Development Team is leading the project.

He said: "I'm in the process of reviewing our existing website and making sure that some of the areas are brought up to date.

"As part of that review I am trying to find out what people think we should be providing as online services.

"I am asking around the force too but what is ultimately going to count is what the public need. So many people use the web as their first mode of communication these days that we must ensure we aren't left behind."

Inspector Flint has started a discussion forum on ManxForums.com and on the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team's Facebook Page where views can be submitted.

Alternatively he can be contacted by telephone on 01624 631371 or by e-mail at Derek.Flint@gov.im.

Views should be submitted by January 25.
