Royal London 360 staff raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

by isleofman.com 15th January 2011

MACMILLAN Cancer Support Isle of Man will benefit from £275 thanks to a "Big Bushy Beard Bonanza" at Royal London 360°.

Six members of the offshore life company's customer services department – Terry Kelly, Allan McDonald, Dave Hughes, Louis MacDonald, Adam Gell and Edward Kelly – grew beards throughout November last year to raise money for the charity.

By the end of the month they were a far cry from their usual clean-shaven appearance.

They were persuaded to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support Isle of Man – Royal London 360°'s Charity of the Year – by their customer services colleagues Hayley Reynolds and Kay Hullock who took great pleasure in helping them return to their normal appearances at the end of the month.

Director of Customer Operations Terry Kelly said: "It was nice to be able to do something a little different to raise money for charity, even though it was uncomfortable by the end of the month!

"Well done to all of those who took part and those who sponsored us – the money will be very well spent by Macmillan here in the Isle of Man."
