Man arrested after hoax call

A 42-year-old Douglas man has been arrested in connection with a hoax telephone call.

Police went to Hillary House, on Prospect Hill in Douglas, at 3.15pm today (Friday), after it was suggested there may have been an explosive device on the premises

As a precaution the building was evacuated while a search was carried out.

At 3.25pm, police arrested the man on suspicion of making a hoax call.

He is currently helping officers with their enquiries.
