Malew ratepayers won’t have to find extra for village services this year.
The commissioners have confirmed there’ll be no rates increase for the next financial year from April.
It will be the third successive year the rate’s remained at 152 pence in the pound.
Local authority officials say a bid to keep costs down through efficiency savings and good budgeting - along with a modest increase in revenue - has enabled the rates to be kept at the same level, despite an increase imposed on them in fuel, audit fees and waste disposal charges.
