An Isle of Man advocate who represented former business tycoon Trevor Baines has gone on trial at Douglas courthouse.

Jenny Holt is accused of entering into an agreement knowing stolen money was being used, committing acts against public justice and falsifying or concealing documents.

She was charged following the money laundering trial of Trevor and Wendy Baines in the autumn of 2009, during which she was part of the defence team.
