by isleofman.com 11th January 2011

A REWARD of £500 is on offer for anyone who can help police catch vandals who damaged a number of football nets in the south of the Island.

A local person, who wishes to remain anonymous, has put forward the reward after thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused at Rushen and Colby Football Clubs and King William's College.

The football nets, which were cut last weekend, will cost each venue around £1,000 to replace.

Anyone with information which may assist in this investigation is asked to contact Port Erin Police Station on 01624 832222 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

The information must lead to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.
