Club reacts to vehicle duty changes

Good, but could be better.

That's the reaction of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club's secretary Tony East to the news vehicle duty for classic cars will be set at ?10 for 2011/12, subject to Tynwald approval.

Prior to a public consultation on the matter, the Department of Infrastructure had wanted to set it at ?20 per annum, but the likes of the VMCC and the Manx Classic Car Club, made representations objecting to that hike.

Mr East says the new rate is a start, but feels some will want to push it further:
