5 weeks of disruption for Ramsey motorists

by isleofman.com 8th January 2011

MOTORISTS in Ramsey face around five weeks of disruption from Monday due to work being carried out on Waterloo Road.

The work will include the reconstruction of the Laxey bound carriageway and renewing of the surfacing of the Ramsey bound carriageway.

There will also be a small area of carriageway reconstruction adjacent to Parsonage Road.

A road closure will be in operation for the duration of the works which begin on Monday, January 10, between Queens Drive West and Parsonage Road.

Pedestrian access for residents of Waterloo Road, Approach Road and Waterloo Lane will be maintained at all times.

No vehicles will be permitted on the section of road to be reconstructed except for emergency vehicles.

The Department of Infrastructure has apologised for any inconvenience caused to motorists.
