Members of a campaigning organisation for retired workers in the the Island are being urged to stand up and be counted - or see the group fold forever.

The Retired Members Associaiton says unless there's a good turn-out at its annual general meeting next week, there's nothing for it but to close down.

The Association attracts former members of unions Unite and the T&G and campaigns on issues like healthcare and pensions.

Branch secretary Eddie Sherry says recent meetings have been poorly attended.

The AGM is at 2pm on January 12 - next Wednesday.
